Via Bambino Children's Area

This family-friendly event allows visitors to create their own masterpiece! Hundreds of children (and adults) participate each year in our Via Bambino area, showcasing their talents and trying their hand at the ancient art of street painting.

Each $25 Via Bambino purchase includes a 12-piece box of professional artists chalk and a 2×2 foot square. Additional squares may be purchased to increase your working space.

Via Bambino purchases may be made during festival hours, from 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM. Squares and chalk are limited and will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis. All proceeds support the Bakersfield Museum of Art.

Note: The Bakersfield Museum of Art reserves the right to remove or alter artwork that is deemed unsuitable for public viewing. Violent, controversial, and otherwise inappropriate images will be removed without refund.
