Via Arté 2015

_MG_6473Bakersfield Museum of Art’s Annual Via Arté Italian Street Painting Festival has become a Bakersfield tradition, bringing together the community and the visual arts since 1998. Using the asphalt as canvas, spectators watch each year as professional and student artists unlock their imaginations and turn the parking lot of the Marketplace into a gallery of amazing chalk masterpieces.

Join us this fall for the 17th Annual Via Arté Italian Street Painting Festival, October 10-11, 2015 as we once again transform the Marketplace  into a work of art. Watch artists from all over California create chalk masterpieces on the pavement. Enjoy live music and entertainment for the whole family!

The Marketplace is located at 9000 Ming Avenue in Bakersfield, California at the Corner of Ming Avenue and Haggin Oaks Boulevard.
